Ronald McDonald House
Upstate has been a strong supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities since 2018. In that short period of time, Upstate has donated labor to paint the entire inside of the home and adopted the roof by performing free annual inspections and repairs. Upstate's CEO challenged his team in 2019 to raise $5,000 in an effort to adopt a room within the home, resulting in donations totaling over $13,000. This type of generosity speaks volumes about the character of Upstate individual teammates.
Champion Academy
In 2019 Upstate partnered with NFL Great, Roland Williams, and his Champion AcademyExtreme Mentoring & Empowerment Initiative though sponsorship of a student in need. Since then, Upstate teammates have raised enough cash donations to provide sponsorship of multiple “Champs.” In an effort to strengthen this relationship, Upstate donated painting labor in midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic to freshen up the office at the Champion Academy Headquarters.
Habitat for Humanity
Upstate’s relationship with Habitat for Humanity goes back more than a decade. In 2008, while Bob Morgan was serving as Chairman of the Junior Builder’s Exchange of Rochester, he had a vision to fund the construction of an entire Habitat Home. He and other Junior Builder Members coordinated a 100% “in-kind” donation of all trades to build the home that sits at 140 Orange Street in Rochester, NY. Every year, Upstate donates roofing labor for one or two homes as continued support.
